About the artist
Lilia Hamani (born in 2003 in Paris) is a photographer that graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and Moving Images from École Condé.
Her photography often arises from walking, whether in her daily life or while traveling. Through it, she cultivates a perspective that embraces rather than seeks to capture: a slow, mindful attention to forms, visual rhythms, and the graphic quality of lines and compositions.
She works under the name L'œil écoute, her editorial signature, which is also the title of the book she self-published in 2025 in a limited edition-a reflection on silence that blends writing and photography. The title, borrowed from Paul Claudel, had come to her before she recognized its source.
She speaks French, English, Korean, and a little Japanese, and is interested in the connections between perception, language, and culture.
